My commitment to supporting people began at an early age. Volunteering and giving back were values I learned from my mom. I was encouraged to leave the world a little better than I found it by seeking meaningful opportunities to serve causes I care deeply about, including education, healthcare, equity, and justice. Through these experiences, I came to appreciate how interconnected we are and how essential it is to both give and receive support throughout our lives.

The importance of reaching out for support became especially clear through significant losses in my life. Those experiences taught me that healing involves tending to the whole self, including mind, body, heart, and spirit. With the support of trusted professionals, caring communities, and my own personal growth, I learned that healing doesn't mean forgetting or moving on. Instead, it can mean learning to hold both joy and sorrow at the same time with grace, compassion, and gratitude.

Inspired by my lived experiences and a desire to honor those who have shaped my journey, I chose to return to school and pursue a second career in counseling. For me, counseling is more than a profession; it is a calling. Currently, I serve as a Family Bereavement Fellow at Judi’s House. Throughout this two-year post-graduate training program, I will continue to learn and grow as I support children and caregivers in processing grief, finding connection, and cultivating hope. In my free time, I enjoy taking pictures (hope you’ve enjoyed my photos on this site!), serving as a high school mentor with Horizons Colorado, delivering Meals on Wheels, connecting with friends and family, exploring with my new pup, Winnie, and spending time in nature.
